Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 May 2026
1. Who we are
Tessu is operated as a sole proprietorship by Juan Negri, based in Amsterdam, the
Netherlands. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal data when
you use the Tessu mobile application.
2. What we collect
- Account data: email address, account creation date, optional display name.
- Wardrobe data: photographs you upload of your clothing and AI-generated tags describing each piece (category, colour, pattern, formality, season).
- Usage data: events such as outfit generations, screen views, and feature usage. We use PostHog for product analytics.
- Billing data: if you subscribe to Tessu Pro, Stripe processes your payment. We never see your full card details; we receive only a token and subscription status.
- Device data: standard mobile identifiers used for analytics and crash reporting.
3. Why we use it
- To provide the Service — auto-tag your photos, generate outfit recommendations, and store your wardrobe.
- To bill paying subscribers via Stripe.
- To understand how the product is used and improve it.
- To communicate with you about product updates and account matters.
4. Third parties we share data with
We use the following processors:
- Supabase — database and file storage (hosted in the EU).
- Anthropic — AI model provider for image tagging and outfit generation. Photographs and tags are sent to Anthropic at the moment of processing.
- PostHog — product analytics (EU instance).
- Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions.
- Vercel — backend hosting.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use your photographs to train AI models for
anyone else.
5. Data retention
Your wardrobe data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete
your account from within the app, your photographs, tags, and AI outputs are
permanently removed from our database and storage. Analytics events may be retained
in aggregated form.
6. Your rights (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of your data.
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
To exercise any of these rights, email theledgerlabtta@gmail.com.
7. Security
We apply industry-standard safeguards: encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at
rest for stored content, row-level security on database records, and least-privilege
access for operators. No system is perfectly secure; you upload content at your own
risk.
8. Children
Tessu is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data
from minors. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will
delete it.
9. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated
by email; the revision date at the top of this page will be updated.
